Many tools charge a subscription forever and keep your data, workflows and customisations on their platform. When prices rise or the vendor changes direction, you have little choice. Software you own is different: it lives in your accounts, your team can change it, and you decide whether to keep paying anyone to run it.
What "you own it" means at Apprika
Once the work is paid for, you own the custom code, designs, copy and fine-tuned models we create specifically for you. We deliver everything into your repositories and accounts.
- Code and designs. Delivered to you, in formats your team can edit.
- Accounts. Hosting, domains and services set up in your name.
- Models and prompts. Fine-tuned models, prompts and evals delivered to you, and we are model agnostic so you are not tied to one vendor.
- Optional running. If you want us to host or maintain it, that is optional, not a trap.
The honest exceptions
Ownership is not unlimited, and we say so up front. Third-party and open-source components stay under their own licences. AI model providers have their own terms and fees. Pre-existing Apprika tools remain ours, with a perpetual licence to you where they are embedded in your work. And if we work for equity or another special arrangement, the signed agreement governs. No forced subscription
Our pricing is by fee, monthly, yearly or up front, for the work of building. Ongoing support or hosting is something you can choose. You are never forced into a subscription to keep using what we built.

Questions people ask
Do I own the software you build?
Yes, once it is paid for, subject to the exceptions in the Ownership section of our Terms, such as third-party components and equity arrangements.
Do I have to pay a subscription to keep using it?
No. You own it. Hosting, maintenance and support are optional services, not requirements.
What if I want to leave?
You keep the code, designs and accounts. We hand everything over, with documentation so your team or another provider can take it from there.
Am I locked into one AI model?
No. We are model agnostic and build so you can use the model you prefer, hosted or open-source.
