Canadian AI, App & Software Development Studio
We're new to B2B. For fifteen years Apprika Labs built apps people actually wanted to open: 50+ shipped, 931K+ organic downloads, one acquisition. Now we're bringing that same obsession with real users to business software, AI and the voice agent Della.
Canadian AI, App & Software Development Studio
We're new to B2B, and we'll say so
For fifteen years, Apprika Labs built apps for regular people, not boards or procurement teams. For the bakery owner who needed to send an invoice from her phone. For the salon owner tired of a paper agenda. For the freelancer who wanted his books to make sense on a Sunday night.
Our first business contract is Skolr, an education platform that runs CRM, LMS, SIS and HR tools for schools. It's our first. We won't pretend otherwise.
But here's what we can say with a straight face: our consumer track record holds up against anyone's. 50+ apps shipped. 931K+ downloads. Almost all of it organic, no paid installs, no growth hacks, just products people searched for, found, kept and told others about.
That's the studio you'd be hiring.
Why a consumer track record matters for your business software
Most agencies on page one of Google lead with the same pitch: senior engineers, agile process, cutting-edge AI, trusted partner. Read five of their sites and they blur into one. We'd rather show you a scoreboard.
The App Store doesn't care about your pitch deck. A user decides in about eight seconds whether your app stays or goes. If the screen is slow, confusing or ugly, they delete it, leave one star and move on. We've lived in that world for fifteen years, and it taught us things you can't learn on a client project with a six-month runway and a forgiving stakeholder.
- Design for the person, not the org chart. Your staff are users too. If they hate the tool, they'll go back to the spreadsheet.
- Speed is a feature. Every extra tap costs you. We cut them.
- Retention beats launch day. We build for month six, not demo day.
- Growth comes from the product. Our downloads came from search, word of mouth and reviews. That same thinking shapes how your internal tools get adopted.
B2B software often fails for one boring reason: nobody wants to use it. That's the problem we've spent our career solving.
What we build
We keep it simple. Three things, done well.
Industry AI, built for your kind of business. An accounting firm and a dental clinic don't need the same AI. We build private, focused AI for specific trades: assistants that know your workflows, your forms, your rules. Your data stays yours.
Conversational AI that answers the phone. Della is our AI voice agent. She picks up calls, books appointments, answers questions and hands off to a human when it matters. She already runs inside our own apps. Call the demo line at +1 450 700 0672 to hear her.
Apps and custom software. Native iOS, Android and web. We've written Swift since there was Swift and built for the web long before that. If you need a customer app, an internal tool or a full SaaS platform, we design it, build it, ship it and stay on to support it.
Also on offer: AI training. On-site team workshops, sessions for leaders and execs, and public cohorts. Your people learn to use AI well, not just talk about it.
Proof, not promises
We don't have a wall of enterprise logos. Not yet. What we do have:
- Duma Energy. Full brand identity and digital presence for a Canadian energy drink company.
- Callr Suite. AI-powered call management and CRM for sales and support teams.
- Ari Market. End-to-end e-commerce for a specialty grocery retailer.
- Della. The AI voice agent at calldella.ai.
- EduCode Academy. Our biggest product to date. It was acquired.
- Skolr. Our first B2B contract, a full school operations suite.
An acquisition and 931,000 downloads tell you something a case study can't. People paid for what we built. Then someone bought it.
Why a Canadian studio
You'll find plenty of “Canadian” agencies that send the work overseas. We don't.
- Built here. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Design and development stay in Canada.
- Bilingual. English and French, for real.
- Privacy first. We design with PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 in mind from day one, not as an afterthought.
- Your time zone. Eastern time. When you call, someone who knows your project answers.
How we work with you
No mystery. Here's the path.
- Call. Thirty minutes. You tell us the problem. We tell you honestly if we're the right fit.
- Scope. A short written plan: what we'll build, what it costs, when you'll see it.
- Build. Small releases you can touch early. No six-month black box.
- Launch. We handle the App Store, the servers and the boring parts.
- Grow. We watch how people use it and keep making it better.
The honest pitch
We could dress this up. We could call ourselves a “leading enterprise partner” like everyone else. But you'd see through it, and you'd be right to.
Here's the truth: we're a consumer studio with fifteen years of hits, one exit and a first business client who trusted us early. We know how to make software people actually want to open. Now we're bringing that to companies.
If you'd rather hire a team that has earned 931,000 downloads than one that has written a million words about “digital transformation,” let's talk.
